Fabric

Fabrics are made of fibers - strands that are much longer than they are wide and generally round on cross section. These fibers may be from natural or synthetic sources. Humans originally made cloth from natural sources, but have subsequently found the means to make their own fibers starting from basic chemicals.

Cotton

Cotton fabric is one of the most popular fabrics in the world, and one of the oldest. It is a natural fiber that derives from the seedpod of the cotton plant. Cotton can be knitted or woven into a cloth, with the 2 most common weaves being plain and twill. There is also a satin weave, which produces sateen.

Polyester Viscose

This is a mixture of Polyester and Viscose, a cheaper alternative to wool, often found in country wear and kilts. The material has wool like finish giving the feel of a high-end fabric. The fabric is resistant to creasing and drapes well making it ideal for trousers, skirts etc. Being a fiber derived from oil, Polyester is water-repellent, and therefore not absorbent.

T/R(Tetra Rayon)

Tetron Rayon, is a special blend of synthetic materials that is identical to the texture and softness of wool. It will hold up strong and won’t shrink like wool. It’s also much more durable than fabrics like cotton. It absorbs less moisture and dries faster, so when you get wet or sweat, it will not absorb and conduct like cotton or wool, keeping you drier and more thermally comfortable.
